A not so recent trip to paradise
What happens if the fuse blows?
What happens if the only thing protecting it was a stupid lamp shade made out of paper?

Bali Day 6 - THE LAST DAY!!
For one final day of site seeing, we headed to the south of Bali.
First on our stop was Padang Padang beach, where we saw our first Balinese moneys!!! Thought the beach was nothing special so we asked our driver to take us to the Suluban Caves.
Although the climb down the railing-less stairs was dangerous and scary - it was worth it. It was still early in the morning and the sunlight streaming through the rock faces was beautiful. There were heaps of surfers braving the crazy waters that we couldn’t even wade into.
The Trek to Uluwatu Temple was a killer, with the heat almost choking me to death. Being a temple, we had to wear sarongs, and being wrapped up in an SLR pack and sarong whilst hiking in the midday sun WAS NOT FUN! … But I did it for the shots.
Although the candy coloured ocean swallowed our GoPro and almost drowned us, our lunch destination held one of the most beautiful infinity pools I’d ever been to. Kicked Marina Bay Sands in the butt!
Tanah Lot Temple of course, was the last destination on our Bali Itinerary. There were heaps of tourists, but the temple which actually sits in the ocean nonetheless radiated a quiet and serene aura.
Caught one last Balinese sunset. Perfect.
Bali Day 5
Date night with Rachel. Exhausted from a day of sun baking at Cocoon Beach Club, had dinner at the cutest, most romantic restaurant I’d ever been to.
Open air dining with its own private rice field, Sardine Restaurant was something else.
Watched the sunset and watched the couples being coupley.
Forgetting the aeroguard was a massive mood kill!!
Bali Day 4
Got super excited for the only cruise of our trip! Lembongan Island had the fine white sand and clear blue waters we were hoping for! After some snorkelling, water sliding, kayaking and munching we headed to shore and hit up Coconuts Beach Resort.
Amazing. Everything from the mini infinity pools and white stone architecture made us think of Europe and we pretended for a bit that our poor asses were actually in Greece. (One can dream).
Got to tour the quiet seaweed farming village, learn about their culture and history and visit a small shop where we got to watch a woman hand-weaving Balinese silk.
Cheeky snap of this boy riding his bicycle through the village. Caught him giving me a shy but playful smile. Totally adorable.
Bali Day 3
Change of pace. Headed to the Potato Head Beach Club in the morning - took many wrong turns and ended up trekking along the beach again sweating like a bitch to end up at the back entrance to the place. Round the front people had already started queuing up! Crazy stuff.
As soon as the doors opened there was a free-for-all mad rush to get the day beds, with some guy pushing in front of me and throwing his bag ahead of himself to secure a spot that I clearly, would have had my ass on in the next 0.2 seconds.
Potato Head Beach Club was perfect for lounging around and working on our tan. Food was crazy good and the mocktails even better. Had the best fish and chips, and grilled barramundi of mah life!
ALSO HAD MY FIRST COCONUT ever! Crazy stuff.
Caught the sunset on the rooftop pool back at our hotel - another blissful day in Bali.
